The Mindy Kaling comedy will return for 2014-2015.

Fox announced today that The Mindy Project has been renewed for a third season, to air in 2014-2015.
The sophomore comedy, currently in Season 2, will return with a special 1-hour spring premiere on April 1.
UPDATE: Season 3 of The Mindy Project will premiere on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 9:30pm.

This is a great show, it has alittle of everything - comedy, drama, love, sex, etc. Great show and very creative writers.

B.J. Novak and M Kaling are incredible writers, producers, and anything else they touch. I miss The Office sssssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooo bad... :(

Some of you are morons.... really... Her show is almost a spin-off of The Office - which is the GREATEST SHOW ON PLANET EARTH... Soooo, WAKE UP PEEPS! Recognize great comedy, the ones that don't are obviously mundane depressed people with no life... js..

I love this show. I am so glad it was not cancelled. I think it is very creative and funny. Love the humor.

I am shocked, quite honestly.... How is this show still on the air? I watch a lot of TV, am overweight, and don't do almost any exercise. I would prefer to go running and do pushups & burpees rather than watch this, Mom, or Super Fun Night.

Whaaaattttt? I like this show, but I was thinking they will cancel it for his rating. Good news, but I hope this improves to the level of the first season. I felt the deacons season weaker.

Watched a few eps... not impressed. This will be moved to Fridays, along with Raising hope, in mid-season 3.
The only reason this show is not cancelled is because it was up for NAACP Image Award. If it was cancelled, that would be racist and make fox look bad (not that they have a good image - as is)...

Glad to hear! I don't like all new shows every year. I know they ratings aren't that great but hopefully with some improved writing it will get better!

yay! the show lost some steam during the beginning of the second season but towards the end it really got great. Can't wait for the shows return
