The new drama is pulled after five episodes.
March 27, 2014
ABC has cancelled its new mid-season drama Mind Games after five episodes. The Tuesday night show has struggled since its February premiere, failing to draw significant viewership in the 10:00pm time slot.
Replacing it starting next week will be reruns of Resurrection until April 15, at which point Celebrity Wife Swap will take its place when it premieres its third season.

From all the cancelled Christian Slater shows, this was the first one where Christian Slater played a character I did not like, that together with Steve Zahn made me look the first Eps in Fast-Forward. Stopped after seeing the likes of Jamie Ray Newman wasted in Ep 02 and 03. While I understand that people have to earn money to eat, Christian Slater should not have taken the role, even a really bad guy can be written more likable.

i deleted and cancelled the series rec. in the middle of the 2nd epi. steve basically ruined the show for me w/ his unbelievable level of craziness that he acted out soooo horribly that it totally turned me off. sad cuz at first i thought i'd be able to relate to steve's character cuz i'm my own brand of crazy lol. and it helped that i love christian slater (altho his trend of cancelled shows is a shame, he deserves better). like another comment said, 'perception' does it better. i'm not surprised at all that 'mind games' was cancelled. lol usually when i give up on a new show, it gets cancelled.

I knew this wasn't gonna last. it's way too complex and intricately detailed for a general audience. it was interesting, but I bet a lot of it went over peoples' heads. and it doesn't help that Steve Zahn races through his hypotheses talking so fast and doesn't give the ideas time to sink in so you can keep up.

This show was painful to watch and I was just waiting for the axe to fall on it. Although it was a fun concept I was afraid it just wasn't believable enough to survive. In real life, at that level of intensity, those brothers would have murdered each other by the middle of the pilot.
A case of the writers and actors going too far for that "intensity factor." It scared me.

I deliberately avoided this show because I was angry that Killer Women was pulled early. Revenge is sweet! ABC should just concede that time slot - there are awesome shows on other channels.

Steve Zahn was a stark raving lunatic in this show. And not in an entertaining, Sheldon Cooper sort of way. I made it through about 10 minutes of the pilot and I deleted it. I'm not at all surprised it got the axe. I AM surprised it took ABC 5 full episodes.

I tried to watch it. It was painful. Way too much throwing around of big words and studies. Perception does this better. Don't think I'll miss it.

So they claim to cancel shows because not enough people watch them but I've started to refuse to watch brand new shows for fear it'll just get cancelled. A show has to be late in it's 2nd season if not the beginning of its 3rd for me to even consider giving it a shot. These nonstop axes have rid me of any confidence of starting a new series.

Didn't see the show (not my cup of tea) but it appears the curse of Christian Slater continues. Hopefully he can make "Broken Arrow 2" soon.
