No Season 3 for the sci-fi drama.
May 9, 2014
NBC has cancelled Revolution, opting to pull the plug on the sophomore series after two seasons. The show's Season 2 ratings have been lackluster, and far below its Season 1 numbers.
Revolution got off to a strong start when it first premiered in 2012, debuting with a strong 4.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demo and staying at a 2.6 or above for the first half of the season. Viewership dipped for the back half but stayed at a respectable number to warrant a renewal.
The show's second season has been a different story, with its premiere starting at a 1.8 and falling as low as 1.1 for its most-recent episode this past Wednesday.
Revolution's series finale is scheduled to air on May 21.

What moron in upper management made this decision just like 24??. I guess that cable tracing on what people watch is the answer of all answers. I remember when the Neilson ratings ruled the industry, and there are a lot of people who still get their TV from the air with a pair of rabbit ears. I think this is a step toward the only programs on the air will be local news and talkshows that are not too good either

I am so disappointed! Networks should not cancel shows without bringing a story to some kind of conclusion or resolution. This was a well-acted and well-scripted show. In light of world events and the chaos that reigns in the US, post-apocalyptic story lines seem rather timely. Perhaps this show was cancelled because it didn't follow the politics of NBC?

Omg was they the same ones that canceled Tara nova. It was so good I just loved it. Has to be something we can do to get revaluation back

Are you shitting me. Why do they always cancel the good ones. I am really mad about this. I didn't even know until I heard people at a baby shower talking about it. I have been waiting and waiting for it to come on. Does anyone know if another network has picked it up.

Loved the show, pretty sad it was just cancelled! At least do a finale to wrap things up for all the people that really did love the show.

I completely agree that if they chose to cancel it for any reason there should have been an ending. Perhaps a couple of shows to wrap it up. I will miss the show and I am disappointed considering I just learned of the cancellation but saw an old cable advertisement that it was coming on soon.

Too bad this was a great show. NBC reconsider! Don't let this be NBCs Firefox.
