A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons on the air. Premiering in 2012, the crime drama went on to become the cable network's most-watched original drama ever, amassing a sizable and loyal fanbase.
While its third-season ratings were down from previous years, it is not clear if that was the reason for the show's cancellation. It is being reported that its production company, Warner Horizon, will be shopping the series to other networks.

I can't believe you cancelled Longmire. my husband all I can actually our whole family love this show. please please reconsider is one of the best shows I've seen in a long long time.

I hope someone else picks up this great TV show. It is fantastic. I will miss it greatly and I was really into this show.

Whoever is in charge of programming at A&E must want to be out of a job. It would seem this person wants to see A&E fail. They keep canceling shows with cliff hangers. They did it with The Glades and now they have done it with Longmire. At this point this channel has absolutely nothing of interest. That is why I figure the person in charge of programming for this channel must want to retire or something. There will be no reason for cable or satellite carriers to carry this channel. Since they like to leave shows with cliffhangers and in general annoy the viewing public I hope this channel either reconsiders and gets someone who has a clue about handling the shows or just get off the air and make space for a channel with something worth watching.

I've heard about the BS of A&E cancelling Longmire!!!! What a crock of crap. Do you need another reality show or "naked and afraid"? Don't give me this crock about not pulling enough viewers. You're really sitting on a winner with Bates Motel and Those Who Kill, right? Let's not go with a 3 season winner. How about demographics? Aren't the 25 - 50 a good enough age and I can tell you these people and the 50+ should completely ask that your asinine network be banned. Use to think A & E had good entertainment. Now you seem to be going with the bottomline bean counters that don't know squat. You morons are off my list. Bring Longmire back, jerk
