There will be no season 4 for the crime drama.
August 28, 2014
A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons on the air. Premiering in 2012, the crime drama went on to become the cable network's most-watched original drama ever, amassing a sizable and loyal fanbase.
While its third-season ratings were down from previous years, it is not clear if that was the reason for the show's cancellation. It is being reported that its production company, Warner Horizon, will be shopping the series to other networks.

You've got to be kidding...first glades and now Longmire...seriously. What are you using for brains. I had started watching TV again. This show was good enough for our whole family to watch together. We even watched the past season on Netflix and felt that made that worth it. NETFLIX are you listening...pressure the folks at A&E to give us that show...hey better yet. Let the producers find another network...and i'll make sure I switch to that one. I'm keeping my eye on where I'm going to get my show. A&E you don't care about quality TV for families. Weren't you the family programming network for a while? Guess not any more. See ya....

I think A&E has lost it's mind. You have very few shows now a day worth watching and you cancel a great show like Longmire. I think you need to listen to your viewers and renew Longmire as soon as possible, trust me if you cancel it I hope another network picks it up and I will be watching it. Rethink your STUPID decision!!!!!

There is a couple shows and longmireis one of them that gives the people that watch them entertainment and yet you are going to cancel it , man what a bunch of morons do you have in charge I would like to think those have better since than what they are showing.

These morons cancelled THE GLADES and I was miffed, they wiped out THOSE WHO KILL after two episodes and I was unhappy, but now LONGMIRE? They cancelled LONGMIRE, I cancelled them.

Guys, are you nuts? Have you become part of the conspiracy to lower America's IQ's with "reality tv"?
Some of us still like shows with a plot!

This is a shame. I used to really enjoy A&E. I am deleting my A&E app and will no longer watch your channel. I am also contacting commercial sponsors and letting them know that they are wasting their advertising money on your network. Your network is trash.

Does A&E even care what the viewers like on TV? What was the ridiculous logic behind this decision? I guess it was the same logic behind dropping "The Killing". Your are dropping Longmire and keeping some of the trash you show. This was the best show on TV by far. Well, my family is done with your network. We don't care what you air from now on we will not watch it. A&E needs to fire some of the so called executives that make decisions like this and start over. My family is furious with this decision and want everyone at A&E to know it!!

Sad news. Yet another good show thrown away. There's so little left to watch. If A & E truly wants to stay in business they need to dump their dreadful line up of so called "reality" shows and support great shows that we all want to watch like "Longmire", otherwise we'll all jump ship to services like Netflix!
