Colette,
If you knew the show when it first aired you would understand but with that said they did a remarkable job with the remake. However, we live in very different times today mindless drivel sells and that usually costs less than making quality programming. Those who speak of only the viewers of 18-54 strictly based on purchasing power, Networks and Cable companies can really show garbage at even less cost and still make money all the have to advertise Apple and Samsung phone commercials and they can sit back and collect. Of course the viewers would just stare into space. But hey, that's television today.

I watched the first season and then was so confused by all the plots and subplots and in fighting in each episode when all they seem to be doing was yelling at each other that I stopped watching!

BIG MISTAKE cancelling Dallas. I am SICK TO DEATH of all the stupid "reality" shows getting renewed every year, but the fine shows that are gritty and well written get cancelled. There are more grown adults in this country that enjoy good programming than there are teens-20-somethings learning how to be arrogant and obnoxious from watching what is on the tv today.

I just cant believe you would cancel such a great show as Dallas. I absolutely loved this show and could not wait between episodes to see what would happen next. The original Dallas was amazing and yes Mr. Hagman, JR. was an amazing actor just as Patrick Duffy and Linda Grey are. I also think Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe and the rest of the cast of new Dallas are amazing. This really disappoints me that such a great show was canceled and there are all the reality shows that continue to air that make absolutely no since at all.

I cannot believe that Dallas is being cancelled, as it is an excellent, well-scripted show. I guess it just shows the intelligence, or lack of it, with most of the younger generation. I looked forward to watching Dallas every Monday, and couldn't wait for the season to start. How sad it is that these networks throw such garbage out there for the public to watch, then go and cancel really good shows that actually make you "think". Very disappointed in TNT...

TNT made a big mistake in canceling Dallas. After Larry Hagman died the show continued to honor him in most of the scripts. His painting hung proudly in the Ewing offices. Plot lines were getting better and better. We were left with so many cliff hangers that it doesn't seem quite fair. Hopefully TNT will come to their senses.
