This show is just horrible. It has nothing to do with the actual events, it's just a puffed up piece of fluff. Other than the top names of Oppenheimer and a couple others, none of the characters depicted on this show were real, and the "competition" between the two bomb designs is completely fictitious. Both were fully pursued in parallel and the top scientists involved could contribute to either design.

We know how this ends, we all do. Realistically, we only need a season one of this fictitious banner waving banality, padding out the show won't make it more palatable. Watching this series has been hard work, this stuff is better left to documentary makers than drama divas. How does this show get another season when better ones get the chop ?

My husband and I watch this show together. It's interesting to see how the families interacted during the secrecy etc. of what was going on. It might be a little dramatized compared to what really was going on, but then, it is tv. Glad it was renewed. Will be interesting to see where they take it.

I love this show and I'm glad it was renewed. I like the fact that it is a drama about World War II. When I want to watch a documentary I watch the HIstory channel.

This is just a soap opera - it has little to do with the true history of Los Alamos or the effort to create the atomic bomb. I watch it because I worked there for a number of years and am interested in how they treat some of the subject material. The sets are very realistic and accurate - period correct and such. Spoiler alert - the bomb works! :) I am unhappy they are all but ignoring the story of Little Boy - the uranium bomb. Would make the series more interesting if they included that as another story arc.

I gave up on it when they tried to make some guy doing math dramatic in episode one. That was just pathetic.

Wow thought it was a mini series ending with the bomb being built. So now I am wondering what will happen the next season. Bothers me that they did not just give it a 22 episode run now. Hate having to wait a year. What If they did not complete the bomb in this run we would AGAIN be left hanging on not knowing the ending. MKL
