No more episodes will be ordered for the new comedy.
November 7, 2014
ABC announced today that it will not be ordering additional episodes of new series Selfie beyond what has already been produced. The freshman comedy has failed to draw a substantial number of viewers since its late September premiere, with its numbers continuing to fall in recent weeks.
The show has aired six episodes to-date out of the 13 originally ordered. For now it remains on the network's schedule, though it is unclear if any more episodes will make it to air.

I LUV John Cho, and I think Karen Gillan made one half of the best Dr. Who companions to date. AND I'm a millennial. So, I was more than excited to see this show, it was completely created for someone like me! And then I was totally bummed after watching the pilot. What a waste of two awesome actors! I'm glad it's over.

Hi. Kayla, I see where you are coming from, but they kinda are. I am still technicality a teen, but younger teens are going through changes, and they think they are funny for some odd reason. So, Don't hate on HILARIOUS TV shows.

I am sorry, but i am glad this show was cancelled. I hate how people think of teenagers are stupid, clueless, valley girls. Its just stupid. I am a blonde 15 year old and i am in honors algebra. The point is, selfies are stereotypes.

I have been reading some of the comments for this, and I find it quite amusing that most of the men disliked this show, whereas most of the women (one exception) are disappointed. So what does this tell you?
This show was obviously not a man's show, for a change. If you think about it, how many romantic shows are actually still on air? None, or not many. I'm sure a lot of men DO like it, because the main girl was attractive and it was actually very funny and witty. But it was DIFFERENT. Not too many stories with a white woman/Asian man as the hero/heroine.
I am extremely upset that this show was cancelled. But I had a funny feeling they would. Any show that I like gets cancelled. In other words, shows that start with a main female character, have romance, get cancelled.

Called it. Dang networks hating on John Cho. First Go On, now this, when will they learn not to stereotype him as the helpful other guy.

The Nielsen's strike again.
I watched the show along with Manhattan Love Story and Forever
ABC is too quick to cancel shows before they build up a audience
Wonder how many Neilsen boxes are in the Bronx

Not surprised this show got cancelled, given the number of old farts complaining about young people having a positive self-image and understand this fancy new technological device called the telephone.

Garbage, just like stinking smell phones. Get rid of all of them and return to talking to each other face to face.

This is a funny show but not always laugh out loud funny. Had Karen Gilan been using her native Scottish accent it would have given the show a different twist which would have added to the comedy. She is a very funny person. On talk shows it really shows.

Too bad. This show was adorable. Love John Cho, and he and the girl actually had a bit of bizarre chemistry.
