The crime drama will not return for Season 4.
November 13, 2014
It is being reported that TNT has cancelled Perception after three seasons. The Eric McCormack procedural is the second show the network has axed this week - Franklin & Bash was cancelled on Tuesday.
Though ratings were slightly down in Season 3 compared to Season 2, reasons for Perception's cancellation are unclear. The move could be in part related to TNT's recently-stated desire to transition to edgier programming under new president Kevin Reilly.
Look for the remaining episodes in Perception's third season to air in February 2015.

I love this show. Our family wishes we had a professor in college like him. I am getting so depressed any show that makes you think etc. does not last. I am so tired of the dumb comedies, scary bloody vampires etc. No wonder we are having so much trouble with crime etc. Please someone in the tv industry do something right...

Agree with all those who say this is a great show. It did in fact allow for intelligence and critical thinking. I personally like Eric McCormack, and never did see his character as whipped or mewling. His character has a mental illness that at times can affect his behavior. Also agree with those who say we are going the wrong way as far as shows are concerned -- dumbed down, violent, and inane -- not to mention terrorizing females.

Perception was such an original idea. It not only had suspense and drama, it was mysterious. I'm hoping there may be some other station out there that may realize this serious can be one of the great ones if it's given more time!

Who made this stupid decision? One of the best shows on tv & you cancel it - why? Idiot TV execs who think "reality" tv or violence is entertainment,

Between Perception & the Millers I'm starting to wonder if the people that make these decisions are either getting bad information or are just idiots. :-/ They CANNOT leave it at the cliff hanger they did. It is just wrong!

Women never get tired of watching whipped males mewing about. Most men tuned out of this romcom long ago.

This was really the only show left on TNT that I was interested in. I came to this site to see when the show would start up again and .... Oh well one less channel to surf. That is after the last of Perception airs.

Another favorite cancelled. Guess there wasn't enough gratuitous sex, car chases, and gore. Surely there is still room for shows that favor a good story over noise? sigh
