It is being reported that TNT has cancelled Perception after three seasons. The Eric McCormack procedural is the second show the network has axed this week - Franklin & Bash was cancelled on Tuesday.
Though ratings were slightly down in Season 3 compared to Season 2, reasons for Perception's cancellation are unclear. The move could be in part related to TNT's recently-stated desire to transition to edgier programming under new president Kevin Reilly.
Look for the remaining episodes in Perception's third season to air in February 2015.

If by edgier they mean pushing the boundaries and making more overt sex and drug programming I'm done with the network. I'm tired of watching really interesting shows pushing a lifestyle I don't want my kids thinking is acceptable

Another one I loved. 😞😞 BAD week for enjoyable TV viewing. Starting to fear for Rizzoli & Isles and Major Crimes.

Im SO MAD ABOUT THIS! FIRST DALLAS NOW THIS. ATLEAST PLEASE DONT TAKE OFF MAJOR CRIMES! IT IS REDICULOUS FOR YOUR RESONS FOR TAKING OFF THE OTHER SHOWS.

2 great shows in 2 days canceled under new president of TNT who wants "edgier". Aka reality... There goes one of my favorite networks off my list.

Is "edgier" the new buzzword for trash? This was a great show. F&B was a kookie take on lawyers and it was cute! Guess we can look forward to more "reality" and "vampires". So glad the set I own has an off button.

I'm really ticked off that Perception is doing well but TNT is cancelling it! What's with that!?? I hated it when TNT cancelled King and Maxwell. The only other TNT series we watch now are Major Crimes and Rizzoli and Isles. They're probably on the way out. I was hoping TNT would pick up Longmire after A&E cancelled it but I suspect it's not "edgey" enough for them.

Can't quite think of much edgier than this show. It is a totally different premise from anything before. My husband is really disappointed in Franklin and Bash and now this. And if by edgier they mean Legends which rocks, they haven't even renewed it yet. I liked perception a lot and a also want to see Rizzoli and Isles go. I might boycott the channel if they cancel that too.
