The new drama is pulled from the schedule.
March 6, 2015
NBC has cancelled Allegiance, pulling the freshman drama from its schedule after five episodes. The series had gotten off to a slow start since its premiere last month, failing to draw significant viewership in the 10:00pm Thursday time slot.
Beginning next week, the network will move new episodes of The Slap to Thursdays at 10:00pm. In the 8:00pm hour, where The Slap previously aired, episodes of Dateline: The Real Blacklist will air ahead of new episodes of The Blacklist.

Well, that didn't take long. :( This is why I record 'em but I don't watch 'em right away. F you NBC. I'll just reclaim some DVR time and not bother watching.

It was an obvious attempt by NBC to ride the coattails of The Americans on FX and try to duplicate their own success with The Blacklist.

Well live and learn, another one bites the dust and all other clichés we can come up with.
The show was well written, well acted so naturally it was going to get the ax.
I have not seen "The Americans" nor plan to do so in the never future, but isn't CSI (pick a city and insert here), NCIS, Criminal Minds etc etc etc all the same show? so why cancell one about russian spies just because theres is another one similar to it? I just don't get it. I like this show.
Hopefully it will get picked up by Netflix

I'm not sure how they were going to maintain the story arch, but more to the point why are they replacing a show with iffy rating with another show with worst ratings?

I enjoyed this show very much. Previous comment were on target when they said the show was in a bad spot to begin with. Another time slot would be better. Also, I was not able to watch during the time slot, so I had to watch on Hulu to get caught up with the episodes. Those viewers are not taken into consideration. Neilson ratings are not accurate. Bring the show back - at least long enough to write a concluding episode for the end of the season.

All you people who like 'how to get away with murder' are just watching another 'sex sells it all' show. Something written with intelligence and an edge will always lose out to soft porn.

They need to stop doing this or else I'm done with new shows on network tv. They need to start shows as mini events and if it works then renew and write in new storylines.

What's next NBC? It's never rainy in Pittsburgh? You stole a show from FX and expected people to tune in to your channel. Anybody who liked this was already watching the Americans (or only watches broadcast tv.)
