The drama will not return for Season 5.
March 13, 2015
The CW is saying good-bye to Hart of Dixie, cancelling the drama after four seasons. Ahead of its upcoming fourth-season finale on March 27, show creator Leila Gerstein issued a series of Tweets indicating that the show was into its final episodes and re-assuring fans of a "tremendously satisfying" finale. Show star Scott Porter also took to Twitter more recently and confirmed the cancellation.
Observers likely saw the end of Hart of Dixie coming when The CW announced last summer that Season 4 would be only 10 episodes in length rather than the 22 of its first three seasons. The bright side, at least, is that fans will be getting a proper series finale rather than be left mid-storyline, as many shows often are.

I'm sorry for the fans who loved this show but I'm glad cause it gives more room for the cw to continue rebranding itself. Somewhere cw got lost and made so many female oriented shows it lost a lot of male viewers they even made supernatural more over dramatic to appeal too more women. In season 2 or 3 they started doing that 10 minute feeling session at the end of every episode. Their viewers became 70% female now with shows like arrow, the flash, the 100 they have made it 60% female viewers which means male viewers are coming back and we are gonna get more action higher quality graphics and better original series. I'm looking forward too the messengers. Sry for the rant hope you get the best ending possible!

Seriously? Feels like every show I like gets cancelled... A real shame, I really enjoyed watching something that's in the southern states. I really liked this show.

What a shame. I just got caught up on netflix and started watching final season live. At least they were expecting it and won't leave with a cliff hanger.

What a shame entertaining show with good casting. UK tv is the same now with all these bloody celebrity cooking shows. etc . If i want to watch someone bake a pie i will go into my kitchen. Pathetic.
The BBC is the worst because they hand out our money to a bunch of nonentities who the bosses appear to drink with.

I knew it would be canceled after they put Zoe with Wade instead of George. They should have stuck with the attraction they were building between George and Zoe, but they started going off in too many other directions and kept disappointing everyone. I actually expected it to be canceled last season and was surprised when it wasn't. I liked the show, but i was expecting this and had kinda lost interest in it. If it hadn't been for Lemon and Annabeth I would have quit watching .

I will obviously never understand American TV audiences. For the only reason I sit down to watch a TV show is to be entertained. Something I have never found entertaining are reality shows, especially ones that reveal the participants being put through similar, if not even more stress than I deal with in my own reality world. Not entertaining. Hart of Dixie was pure entertainment. I do not even understand the above synopsis labeling it as a "drama"? I found it to be a very easy watching comedy series.
Hart of Dixie, you will be missed. A better cast of characters will be hard to assemble.
