Netflix Renews Daredevil

The action drama will return in 2016.

Netflix announced today that Daredevil has been renewed for Season 2. The new superhero drama is the streaming service's latest original series, premiering earlier this month with 13 episodes that have received high praise from both critics and audiences alike.

The series will be see a change in showrunners for its second season, as Steven S. DeKnight steps down due to previous commitments. Taking his place at the helm will be Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez, writers who worked closely with DeKnight on Season 1.

Season 2 of Daredevil is expected to return in 2016.

Agree with many that this should hit a network. Better than several already there! Well done and fun to watch.

Have always loved the genre. I must confess, though, that I never considered Daredevil one of those "go to" heroes I really understood or wanted to. But this production COMPLETELY changed me on that front - absolutely amazingly well done and cast. Charlie Cox really takes on a tough role and nails it, and playing off the amazing Vincent D'Onofrio was mind-bending. All of the surprise deaths and the gut wrenching character twists really made it work for me. I cannot wait until Season 2!

It's really no surprise that this show was renewed. Well put together, delivered nicely on a gritty and believable way. Looking forward to the next season. Well done!

I just finished episode 5 and I agree. The show is a fantastic adaptation of the comic hero. The fight scenes are spectacular and he can still get hurt like any other human being. The story line is very well written. I'm stretching my views to an episode a night and sometimes every other night. Waiting a full year like I did Orange is the new Black is brutal.
