The veteran drama will return for 2015-2016.
May 11, 2015
CBS has renewed Person of Interest for a fifth season. The long-running crime drama continues to be a steady performer for the network on Tuesday nights. Look for the show to return in the fall as part of the 2015-2016 season.
Update: CBS is targeting Season 5 of Person of Interest for mid-season, though no premiere date has been announced.

Well considering when you look at CBS's lineup, all the spots are occupied for each day. It looks to me like it won't be coming on until either Survivor on Wednesday's or The Amazing Race on Friday's finish their current seasons. So sometime in the new year most likely. Unless of course the cancel one of the new shows and pull it immediately and need sonething to take it's place.

Person of Interest is a great show. I agree with the other people about letting the show go back to the first two seasons of helping people. Please kill off that machine that keeps trying to kill the crew. Please go back to saving people. It was so exciting back then.

Love, Love, Love this show. I can't wait for this season to start, and more seasons to come. I do agree with the others about last season, it wasn't as good as the first 2 seasons were, the 3rd wasn't too bad, but you should stick more to the original stories. Love all the characters, can't wait to watch it every week.
Thanks

Looks like EVERYBODY loves the show and wants it back. Why do programmers for CBS, NBC, etc. take off the good shows (like The Mentalist) and put more crap on that gets cancelled after one season?????? Some of these new shows are just a bunch of crap strung together to be called a "show".....as the kids used to say...."gag me with a spoon". And I agree with all when they say get rid of Samaritan and go back to helping people.....hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I was getting ready to write a nasty letter to CBS about the cancellation of Person if Interest. Thank goodness I found this "format". I agree with all the other folks regarding the show.....my complete fav after Bones. Would always record it so would not miss anything. Love ALL the characters, but Reese is "to die for"....OMG... that man...what a hunk...so handsome...moody...sexy smile, and that voice...I get chills just thinking about it!!!!! MUST have my John Reese fix EVERY WEEK. Like the others, sorry we have to wait till Nov., but it will be here shortly. NOW, CBS, DON'T EVEN THINK OF NOT RENEWING THIS SHOW FOR MORE SEASONS!!!!!!!!!!!
POI fan since season 1.

One of my favorite shows. Love Reece and Finch. Please go back to original format, helping people in trouble.

Person of Interest is one of my fav shows and it should not have even been considered for cancelation. I tape it when I can't watch it. It is one of the best. Love Jim Caviezel and whole staff.
Now about the new series "Life in Pieces," you can take that off and throw it in the garbage.
