No Season 2 for the new drama.
June 15, 2015
It is being reported that A&E has cancelled The Returned after one season. The freshman drama aired 10 episodes this spring but failed to draw significant ratings for the cable network.
The Returned was an adaptation of the 2012 French series Les Revenants. Even though that show premiered three years ago, it will be returning for a second season this fall. Another American series with a similar premise, Resurrection, was also cancelled last month after two seasons on ABC.

Yes, I meant to say the French version was much better.

@Ed Gordon No I don't agree. No one forces you to watch you choose to. You choose to waste your time on a horrible show. You lose.

@Al are you saying the French version was much better? I think your saying it is much better, but I am not 100% sure you are saying it is much better.

@penedono, the kickstarter thing a VERY good idea. I never thought about that. Im sure there are THOUSANDS of people who feel the way I do but never thought there was anything that could ever be done about it. @Moe Stevens, is it REALLY the dumbest thing you ever heard? I mean, you may not agree with my positive opinion of THIS particular show but surely you can agree that OVERALL the networks need to stop putting shows out there only to cancel them after one season or even just a few episodes in without any kind of a wrap up. If shows had at least two seasons, they could be properly be gauged and given the the yay or nay fo ra third season. Do well in the first season they get a third and so on and so on. At the VERY least a show should get at least one complete season no matter what. If a show is deemed sucky in the first few episodes, inform the writers so they can wrap it up in the last episodes of that season. That should serve to increase the ratings for those remaining episodes as the action increases and people KNOW there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Good. Just another rip-off of something already done much better. The French original was much better. When will they learn to stop trying to remake foreign-made shows that are much better?

My biggest regret is losing Jeremy Sisto. Love me some Jeremy Sisto!
