The drama will end after Season 3.
June 22, 2015
NBC announced today that Hannibal is being canceled after three seasons. The move doesn't come as a complete surprise after Season 3 premiered at series-low ratings earlier this month, only to fall further in the two episodes following.
The network issued a press release with the following statement: “We have been tremendously proud of ‘Hannibal’ over its three seasons. Bryan and his team of writers and producers, as well as our incredible actors, have brought a visual palette of storytelling that has been second to none in all of television — broadcast or cable. We thank Gaumont and everyone involved in the show for their tireless efforts that have made ‘Hannibal’ an incredible experience for audiences around the world.”
It appears as if the network will continue to air Season 3 through its full episode order, which still leaves 10 episodes remaining for fans to enjoy during the summer months.

KDR - Anthony Hopkins did not "give birth" to the the character. Brian Cox played Hannibal Lector in Manhunter in 1986.

You would think if the Clarice character was a factor, NBC would of thought about that before the show started. I mean the showrunner had a plan for the show written brought to the network for a lot of seasons. They got some stupid people running NBC lol

Glad to hear this. If you're the kind of person wanting you watch Hannibal, you're not likely into the way this one was presented. Also, the limitations NBC has vs that of someplace like Starz or HBO also greatly reduced this show to crap status.

Another stupid move by NBC...this is the last of my shows on NBC. This was an excellent show and very well done-it was just done in a way that most of todays world doesn't understand. They had a lot of ground to cover before Clarice, so it wasn't cancelled because of that. Also it probably won't be tied up at the end of the season due to it already being shot and this is the story of Hannibals life halfway thru. It was cancelled because we are in a world full of reality tv and short atten spans

Hannibal is no big loss... Face it, after Anthony Hopkins gave birth to the character, everything else was downhill.. NOW, if we can just cancel NBC altogether...?
Especially wherever they are sending Brian Williams. Oh that's right... NO One watches msnbc so ...they pretty much did...

"I seriously hope it's tied off at the end." What a stunning display it would be if Hannibal's last NBC meal comprised a group of internet "reviewers" and self important narcissitic "bloggers" who feel they are so qualified to judge what is and is not excellent television. "Hmmm... this is going to require extra extra seasoning. Some meat, is just 'dumb,' Jack, and doesn't know its place in this world. Thus, we must improvise. And prepare it for the next world." How very short sighted to cancel such an elevated series just because the less intellectual persons failed to tune in, so tied are they to reality television and various sports. Oh, and COULD IT BE, that the delayed airing start of Season 3 completely destroyed the launch? They might as well have started Season 3 in July. Timing is crucial. It will be interesting to see if the series is picked up by a more mature company who knows how to market the material better.
Broadcast television is so ignorant. They finally have something that approaches Dexter, Mad Men, etc, and yet they expect it to become the next Seinfeld.
I suppose I should be grateful they gave it a shot at all.
Thanks NBC. I guess.

this season feels very slow, the ratings were very low last season but I wished they waited a little to see if it's gona pick-up.

Man that sucks. I was really liking season 3. I heard it got cancelled because they wanted to introduce Clarise next season but couldn't get the rights. I would of loved to see that
