The reality competition will return with a new host.
August 13, 2015
NBC announced today at its TCA summer press tour that The Celebrity Apprentice will be taking a season off and returning in 2016-2017. The network made the move in order to allow time to search for a new host for the reality competition, who will replace the departing Donald Trump.
NBC recently cut ties with Trump due to his presidential run and subsequent controversial remarks. Until now he has hosted every season of The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice since the franchise's debut in 2004.
There is no word who the replacement host might end up being, but NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt did say there were a good number of exciting people who have expressed interest in taking over the duties.

I think NBC should have the humility to back out of this show. It would be dumb to force it by picking a different host. They're just trying to avoid the embarrassment of Trump being right about their failure. On the other hand Trump actually could become president, after all, Obama did it. I don't know why on earth people would prefer a Mrs. Clinton presidency.

Trump's never going to make it to the White House.

Donald Trump is an idiot. He calls people he doesn't like stupid. Can you imagine if he said that to someone if he was president!? He would cause world war 3. He's a smart business man but lacks people skills.

Why not just kill the franchise? It makes more sense than letting it fester and bringing it back. Reality TV doesn't do so well when this happens (IE: The Mole).

New host? They should keep it as Trump and do a White House edition.
