The reality competition will return with a new host.
August 13, 2015
NBC announced today at its TCA summer press tour that The Celebrity Apprentice will be taking a season off and returning in 2016-2017. The network made the move in order to allow time to search for a new host for the reality competition, who will replace the departing Donald Trump.
NBC recently cut ties with Trump due to his presidential run and subsequent controversial remarks. Until now he has hosted every season of The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice since the franchise's debut in 2004.
There is no word who the replacement host might end up being, but NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt did say there were a good number of exciting people who have expressed interest in taking over the duties.

@tirebiter You have me wrong if you believe I pay attention to FOX News. It's full of lies, but no more than CNN and the rest. However, since you felt so inclined to share some facts with me, here are some for you. A Secretary of State acts as a go-between for the president and the real decision makers. The tril-lateral commission, the CFR and the other round table groups direct where the country will go, they pass those decisions on to the S.O.S. and he or she makes "recommendations" to the president. I'm sure Mrs. Clinton filled that particular role perfectly. She's been a good little globalist for most of her life, and I would expect no different if she were to slither her way into the oval office.

tirebiter. You make no sense. you don't have to make $500k a year to know the government is too big, or know that there are too many people being carried by the tax payers, or disagree with killing babies, to know that taxing business more and more cases people to lose their jobs. Trump is not going to run for president, and neither is Hillary.

@Mythra - It's clear you listen to only the Fox News talking points. The right wing claim of a so-called liberal media is a myth. All media outlets are controlled by ultra conservative corporations now.
Look at polls from Fox and Rasmussen, which are hardly liberal. They prove that if Trump would lose to any DEM in the general election. Because the truth is, Trump is supported by half the GOP base that Romney had. The vast majority of Americans won't vote for him.
Also Clinton is among the best Secretaries of State the US has ever had. Do a simple search for her accomplishments. They are many and impressive. OTOH, Colin Powell admitted he lied about WMDs in Iraq, both unknowingly and knowingly. But I'm willing to guess you'd dredge up Benghazi, while ignoring that multiple investigations have found no wrong doing, or that the GOP controlled Congress slashed the State Dept. budget so they couldn't respond to every embassy request for more security, or the THIRTEEN SIMILAR embassy attacks between 2002 and 2008 that killed OVER FIFTY Americans. Or the latest made up scandal over the email servers, which again hasn't resulted in a single actionable charge.
Compare that to Trump who has no tact or dignity or EXPERIENCE. His claim to fame is his tagline of "You're Fired". I bet people looking for jobs find that amusing. And his promise to the nation is to be a bully to the rest of the world.
Finally (I won't repost to this conversation), just be aware that if you don't have millions of dollars and don't earn AT LEAST $500,000.00 a year, then voting GOP is voting against your own best interests.

@tirebiter Look, I already know that the Clinton political machine will be using all the identity politics they can in order to get that witch in the oval office. I'm also not surprised that the liberal media will be putting out all sorts of poll numbers to support her bid. Like I said, I just don't know why on earth people would prefer a Mrs. Clinton presidency. Worst Secretary of State ever.

I thought George Lopez was Trump's replacement. I heard that announcement a week after Trump was fired. Did he drop out?

@Fernando Yes Vince would be entertaining and he has a way better "you're fiiiiirrrrrrrreedddd" bit than Trump.
@Steve Yes Trump will make it to the white house. It's practically a given at this point.

@Mythra - While the teaparty dupes are fawning over Trump right now, he still polling below 20%. Polls show that of the current 17 GOP candidates he would lose in a landslide to any DEM, including Clinton. Most other candidates would make it a tighter race. The GOP party machine knows this and will get Trump out of the race before the primary season starts.

The only reason NBC would schedule another season of Apprentice would be to make it stick in Trump's craw. His ego is so massive that he would have a total meltdown if another person hosted the show.

The new host is Vince McMahon, inventor of the "You're Fired" bit.
