The drama will end after Season 3.
August 31, 2015
CBS announced today that Under the Dome will be coming to an end after its current third season. The sci-fi drama, which is based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, will soon conclude a successful run that saw it emerge as a breakout summer hit in 2013. While ratings did taper off each season, it remained as one TV's most-watched summer shows.
The series finale of Under the Dome will air on Thursday, September 10, with the network promising that the dome will come down and its mysterious origins will be revealed.

Typical Steven King... a short story stretched out way to long.

Would've been a better 3 part movie. I fell off in season 2.

Finally!!
It never should've made it this far. Would have been better as a mini series. Started losing interest at beginning of season 2. Never missed an episode though. I'm sure not every question will be answered or explained in the finale.

This show was pretty good in the beginning, but once they take the dome down where will it go from there. So it's kinda best that they at least ended it.

Been watching since Season 1 and was happy when it got picked up for Season 3. I think that it is time for the dome to come down so we get answers and end the series properly. Glad there will be a proper ending and it won't end on a cliffhanger. Remember this was originally only supposed to be on for one season and they were able to stretch it out to three seasons. Very remarkable. Nice run!

It's time. They should have left it as a mini-series and ended it after one season. This season has really "jumped the shark" as they say.

This show still had life in it. At least we get a ending on this one. Unlike many other tv shows that got cancelled. However, they had a hit show on and could have done one more season or more. What will they put on next summer? They already had the sets and such for this show and now they must start from scratch. I really think this should not have been cancelled though. Will cbs even give us a new sci fi show next year?

I'm GLAD it's coming to an end! It's nothing at all like the Stephen King book and frankly they've really stretched it out and seem to have run out of ideas. I like the show - watched since the start - but I'm ready for it to end.
