CMT announced today that Party Down South has been renewed for a fifth season. The veteran reality show continues to be a solid performer for the network, ranking as its highest-rated original series. The recent premiere of its fourth season has seen it draw its best ratings since Season 2.
Season 5 of Party Down South will premiere 2016 and will be filmed in Savannah Georgia for the first time, once again featuring the original cast.

Well... there's nothing quite like watching a bunch of brain-dead, drunk, low-class, rednecks get rich off of being brain-dead, drunk, low-class, rednecks. This is a show one watches so they can sit back and say to themselves "At least my life's better than that."

Meh! I watched the first season because of a couple of cute girls on the show. And the eventual Train Wreck potential it had. It lived up to exactly that. After the first two episodes of season two. I felt my I.Q. dropping by bothering with this drivel. So I deleted it from my DVR schedule and never looked back. And now after seeing this being renewed for a fifth season and it getting it's highest ratings ever for the CMT Network. There is no hope for TV viewing on this Network.
