The summer drama will not continue.
October 20, 2015
It looks like ABC will not be moving forward with Season 2 of The Whispers. The freshman sci-fi drama aired 13 modestly-rated episodes over the summer, ending with a cliffhanger in August that left fans clamoring for answers.
Unfortunately, according to show star Milo Ventimiglia, this story does not have a happy ending. Ventimiglia took to Twitter recently, responding to a fan inquiring about Season 2 with, "Sadly not happening darlin". While the network has stayed mum on the show's future publicly, the cast obviously knows that Season 2 is not in the cards.

Word to the wise: when the actors contracts expire in the hiatus THE SHOW IS DEAD (good riddance)

This show was pretty damn good. Another show w/o a resolution. All show should have an episode prepared in case of cancellation. Getting tired of this. Somehow braindead Two Broke Girls is still on the air... argggggggg

@tirebiter - What you saw wasn't a proposed run down of the show, that was on the current event news.

It wasn't a bad effort for a weekly serialized sc-fi drama, but it is ABC and didn't have the requisite gay or lesbian couple needed to survive on that network. I did think about saying it's ABC and you all know the "DRILL," but that would have been too cheeky...

Gurnett, people have a right to be upset about shows getting cancelled. I guess you just love when you get into a show and it get cancelled without an ending. Not talking about this show just shows in general. I just hate when I see people saying "get over it". These networks are dooming themselves, because some people don't believe in them anymore.

Did no one learn their lesson from Lost on ABC? That show and it's 9 seasons of "filler" to get to a conclusion (they knew about and could write for) showed the level of respect ABC has for viewers. Don't expect much from sci-fi or psychological dramas on ABC. They'll shaft you every time.

I watched the whole season through. Not the most interesting, not even in my top 10, but it was good enough to keep me watching.
