This show is weird. It's not the same Muppets I remember from childhood.

This is one of my favorite new shows for the season. I was worried that bringing the Muppets back would lead to something hokey, but I the show is intelligent, fun and very well-written. Go Muppets!

I have no idea why anyone would watch this. Very silly. To each's own though.

This is a fantastic show and those who knew Jim Henson the best, and his family, have remarked how this was where he'd have been headed with the Muppets. Some critics either haven't watched the Muppets since they were kids (so much of the mature humor went over their heads) or they only remember the watered-down stuff from the 90's. As a lifelong fan for over four decades, I can clearly confirm that these are closer to the Henson Muppets I grew up with than anything that's come out since he passed 25 years ago. I think the show is hysterically funny (particularly things in the background that require another viewing to catch) but I think a lot of comedy has been dumbed-down and modern audiences aren't as sharp as they once were. I'd be disappointed if the Muppets had to round the edges of their humor in order to fit the audience, but maybe that's what's required. Regardless, this show is doing very well (better than the program after it, Agents of Shield or even the Flash) so I think it's going to stick around for a while. Yaaaaaay! (with the flappy froggy crazy arms)

It's "The Office" with puppets essentially.

The show isn't very good. You want it to be good. You want to love the characters. The characters do not have depth and basically the show is 30 Rock with Muppets. The show just isn't funny with tired plots and jokes. The only reason this show was picked up for more episodes is because it is the Muppets. If it was any thing else it would be done.

Glad to hear that. I was afraid the cancel early because people don´t like it just because it´s not Muppet Show 2.0.
I grew up with the original but I also love this version. A simple remake would not have worked, this is much better for today.

I've always loved the Muppets ever since I was a kid, but after watching a couple of episodes of the new show, I suddenly found myself starting to dislike them. It just doesn't feel like the Muppets to me. The show feels more like I'm watching a reality show with puppets, which takes all the fun out of it. I'll just stick to enjoying the old stuff.
