Showtime announced today that The Affair has been renewed for a third season. The critically-acclaimed drama has maintained strong viewership in its sophomore season, helping it rank as one of premium cable's top scripted series.
No word on the number of episodes ordered for Season 3 of The Affair. Its current second season, which concludes December 20, got a bump up to 12 episodes over the 10 it aired in its freshman outing.
