The comedy-horror will return in a new setting.
January 15, 2016
Fox announced today that Scream Queens has been renewed for a second season. The freshman comedy-horror series, from American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy, premiered last fall as part of the network's 2015 line-up with a short 13-episode run.
Ratings weren't particularly strong for the series, which struggled to draw high numbers in the key adults 18-49 demographic despite its high profile. It fared better in other metrics, however, performing particularly well in online, on-demand, and DVR viewing. Its strong social media presence was also notable.
Look for Season 2 of Scream Queens this fall, where it is expected the show will move to a hospital setting rather than stay within a college campus as it did in Season 1.

Scream Queens had *one* fantastic episode right in the middle of its run. The rest were a collection of a few great moments surrounded by way too much filler and nonsense. The finale was a waste, and is emblematic of every Ryan Murphy show -- who really cares about consistency, plot, or characters? Just do whatever -- it doesn't really matter in the end so long as it's ironic. I won't be tuning in for Season 2.

Great show.... till the last episode. I have never seen such a horrible ending. Will try season 2, but the ending has to be a whole lot better, not watching 12 Episodes for to be disappointed at the end.

This wasn't as good as I thought it would be but I watched all the episodes and will try it again next year.I thought the Chad character was great.

This is one of the few shows this past season that made me laugh out loud. Chanel Oberlin is one of the most despicable people and yet I loved every minute of every scene she was in with Hester. Those Halloween episodes were hilarious. I can't wait for season 2.

We love scream queens. I wasn't sure if my husband would like it but after four episodes I kept wanting to tell him about it and so I convinced him to watch one episode and if he didn't like it to pass... He loved it... We laughed every week... So campy... So many fun things to quote... The cast is great! What is not to love! Can't WAIT for season 2! Oh.. We also had fun trying to solve the mystery!

I had to quit Glee, am about to be completely done with American Horror Story, and I could only force myself to sit through 2 episodes of Scream Queens. I think I just really don't like Ryan Murphy's style. The ideas of his shows are great and he has a lot of amazing talents in the casts, but there's just something with all of his work that I can't put my finger on that just ends up annoying the heck out of me and I have to quit watching.

this is a very funny show. And it has a rotating place of setting like american horror story. SO they can reuse actors in different type of roles.

I gotta say... at least it's not a cop/legal/detective show. Fox is short on ideas though... they are bringing back X-Files, 24, and Prison Break... that's a sure sign they've completely run out of new show ideas.
