Syfy announced today that The Magicians has been renewed for a second season. The fantasy drama, which is adapted from the novel of the same name, has fared well through its first three episodes with an average of 1.7 million viewers (factoring in 3 days of delayed viewing). The series has also seen its younger audience of adults 18-34 grow consecutively over each episode.
The cable network has ordered another 13 episodes of The Magicians for Season 2, matching its first-season total. Look for Season 2 to premiere some time in 2017.

Me too.. only watched the first episode.. was about to give up because it was seeming like a slightly older version of Hogwartz... but the end of the pilot made me set the DVR. Just haven't gotten around to watching any more yet.

I've only watched one episode so far but I liked it and hope the following episodes are just as good.Glad they gave it a season 2.
