February 8, 2016
Syfy announced today that The Magicians has been renewed for a second season. The fantasy drama, which is adapted from the novel of the same name, has fared well through its first three episodes with an average of 1.7 million viewers (factoring in 3 days of delayed viewing). The series has also seen its younger audience of adults 18-34 grow consecutively over each episode.
The cable network has ordered another 13 episodes of The Magicians for Season 2, matching its first-season total. Look for Season 2 to premiere some time in 2017.

This show is starting to suck. 11 episodes in and they have literally not done a thing. Everything that has happened could have been put into 3 episodes so far. Its beginning to Drrrraaaggggggggg on. Its starting to be painful to watch.

I really enjoy this show. I plan on reading the Magician Trilogy to fill in some of the blanks.

Don't see it lasting shows like this always get canceled wouldn't be surprised to check back here mid season 2 and see no season 3 for The fantasy drama.

I like this show a lot! Acting is decent not great but the storyline is well done. This last episode with the insane asylum was so fascinating because I kept questioning everything

I'm glad to see a second season coming!! This show is what SyFy should be. It's grown-up magic. It's fun, cute, interesting and not a reality show. Keep up the good work!

Blech! I don't like the characters or the premise, and the show takes forever to go anywhere. I stopped watching after the second episode.

Not the best acting and sometimes the story line "jumps (I guess you need to read the book) but definitely not has horrible as Shadow Hunters (which is best watched on mute and with an adult beverage - well after a few first).

Its like watching a modern dark, adult version of Harry Potter. So far I like it a lot, glad they got a pickup to season 2.
