ABC announced today that The Middle has been renewed for an 8th season. The veteran comedy has continued to draw consistently solid ratings for the network in the adults 18-49 demographic.
The Middle joins four other ABC comedies that were renewed today for the 2016-2017 season. Fresh Off the Boat, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, and Black-ish will all be returning in the fall.

This is one of the most under-appreciated shows on TV. Often it's better than Modern Family.

Happy this show is coming back. I love the chemistry of the family and neighbors. I love the "floating of holidays." Wish we thought of that! :-) Ha ha! A great show! Glad it is sticking around!
