The new comedy will return for Season 2.
April 12, 2016
TBS has renewed its newest comedy The Detour for a second season. The cable network actually placed the order last week, ahead of the show's premiere, showing confidence in the freshman series.
13 episodes have been ordered for Season 2 of The Detour, up from the 10 planned for this season. The comedy is currently airing Monday nights, and follows the misadventures that occur during a family's road trip from New York to Florida.

Yeah I think he actually made it because after he realized the new vacation movie SUCKED. This is much better.

Tried to watch an episode but kept thinking wow Ed Helms looks weird. This show is not a rip off of vacation but a copy of a copy of a copy. Did the writers actually watch vacation yet or just get story ideas from the neighbors kids friend who happened to watch it? Also the "story" is forced and nobody is realistic enough for anyone to care.

Only 2 episodes in but I'm really liking this... Nice job pulling off the "National Lampoon Vacation" vibe.
