No Season 2 for the new comedy.

Fox has cancelled The Grinder after its first season. The Rob Lowe and Fred Savage comedy premiered in the fall with a full 22-episode order but failed to catch on with viewers. Ratings were modest out of the gate and only fell to lower levels as the season went on.
The show's final episode aired this past Tuesday.

We JUST found Grinder and have watched all 22 episodes - now- more than once! Intelligent, hysterical and fun. So bummed. So bummed.

Whoa, this caught me off guard. As good as this show is (was), I never even considered it would be cancelled. I guess I should have remembered we're dealing with Fox here. A standout comedy with smart writing timed perfectly by an excellent cast, and it gets axed because they failed to promote it well enough. Typical. Like someone else said, here's hoping one of the streaming services recognizes the uncommon quality of the show and lets it live on. Hell, if The Mindy Project can get saved, surely this has a chance.

What a waste! This show was funny, smart, appropriately sexy, engaging -- aka GOOD TV. Again, networks prove they do NOT know good TV...
Rob Lowe & Fred Savage were excellent & believable & hilarious. They led an excellent cast -- not one sloppy cast member.
I'm so disappointed and frustrated!

I was SO afraid this would happen. This show is literally the ONLY sitcom I have stuck with in over 10 yrs. Incredibly funny, great writing IMO, awesome characters, great chemistry, comedic timing, etc. I'm hoping it gets picked up by another network or better yet Hulu, Netflix. These networks will hopefully get the rug ripped out from under them eventually with more and more folks dropping cable and moving to streaming shows, sports, etc. Complete idiots.

So sad! This is the funniest sitcom I've seen in a long time. I absolutely loved it! My girls got a puppy for Christmas and named him Mitchard because we loved the character. Disappointing.

So upset!! The Grinder was hilarious and one of the best sitcoms on right now, epic fail FOX! Hopefully Hulu or Netflix will pick it up!!!
