HBO wants more of the Dwayne Johnson dramedy.

HBO announced today that Ballers has been renewed for a third season. The sophomore dramedy stars Dwayne Johnson in his first scripted series lead as an ex-footballer player turned financial manager for current players.
The show has done well for the cable network, garnering critical acclaim and solid ratings. Its first season averaged 9.1 million viewers across its various platforms, and Season 2's premiere episode has so far been seen by 5.7 million viewers.
Look for Season 3 of Ballers in mid-2017.

Meh... it's not horrible, but it's not fantastic either. Season 1 took a loooooooong time to get going, and so far season 2 is starting the same.... I mainly catch it because if it's time-clot and channel. Vice Principals is okay... and I love Last Week Tonight... so Ballers benefits from being between them. I agree that The Brink was MUCH better.
