July 10, 2015
HBO announced today that Ballers has been renewed for a second season. The freshman dramedy, which is star Dwayne Johnson's first lead role in a scripted series, is off to a solid start through its first three weeks. Along with early critical acclaim, the show's premiere episode has amassed 8.9 million viewers across HBO's platforms, which makes it the cable network's most-watched first episode of a half-hour series since 2009.
Seven episodes remain in Season 1 of Ballers, with new episodes airing Sunday nights at 10:00pm. Look for Season 2 in 2016.

Raunchy for no reason. Other than that, the Rock is awesome.

Love this show. The Rock is great.. Rob Cowdrey always gives the comic relief, perfectly.
So glad it go renewed so quickly. Well, not surprised either, especially with Mark Wahlburg's name attached to it. This show isn't going anywhere for years to come!

Ive watched every episode and im still waiting for something to happen. SOMETHING.....ANYTHING. So far nothing is going on in this show other than a bunch of people walking around talking to each other about stuff that I dont think most of the audience even cares about. Oh, and some occasional sex. Its only saving grace is that it has The Rock in it and I dont know how much longer his presence is going to be able to keep it afloat. I have a sneaking suspicion that if he wasnt in it, it wouldn't have gotten a second season. But im all for giving a show a chance. This show is produced by the same people who brought us Entourage, a show that i personally tried to like but I just never could. Why? Because it was a show about a bunch of people walking around talking to each other. Oh and some occasional sex. And just to make clear my stance on the sex scenes, they are the only interesting things that happen in BOTH of those shows. When the sex is over, its back to blah, blah...blah blah.....blah.

I like this show. I got love for the rock, but i kind of wish he was one of the atheletes instead of the shark agent. Just seems it would be more fitting for him. But all in all so far a good show

It's kind of a cross between Arlis and Entourage.
