Freeform orders more of the veteran comedy.

Word is out that Young & Hungry has been renewed by Freeform for a fifth season. The good news was announced via a Twitter post by star Emily Osment, writing the following message to the show's fans:
Going back to work for season 5 of Young & Hungry in one week. No one has announced it yet so I am! You're welcome!

The veteran comedy wrapped its fourth season back in August, during which it reached the 50-episode mark while continuing to rank as one of cable's top original scripted series in its time period among key demographics.
A return date for Season 5 is not yet known, though with production starting soon the wait shouldn't be too long. Seeing as how the show managed to air two full seasons in 2016, Season 5 will likely premiere in early 2017.

Absolutely LOVE this show and so happy to hear its getting another season! Too many good shows get cancelled!!!

Y&H is a cute show, but I agree they do need to show more of Sofia. Y&H needs to keep Gabi/Josh together and then give Sofia a love interest.

So apparently the reason it seemed that way, is that what I thought was one large season, was actually two small ones of 10 episodes. Seems very small for a sitcom. Oh well.

Honestly I'm surprised since episodes seem to air sporadically and with more hiatuses than I've ever seen.

They need to spend less time on Gabi/Josh and more time on Sofia. If changes aren't made this will be my last season. I can't stand Elliot either.
