The horror drama ends after one season.
November 8, 2016
It is being reported that Dead of Summer has been cancelled after its first season at Freeform. From the creators of ABC's Once Upon a Time, the freshman 80's-set drama followed an awakened dark mythology that terrorizes a summer camp.
The series premiered in June for a 10-episode run that ultimately garnered subpar reviews and failed to draw significant viewership. Today's cancellation is the latest in string of Freeform dramas to only last one season. Recovery Road and Guilt were both cancelled earlier this year.

I enjoyed this show and I'm sorry it got cancelled. What a fun, creepy summer show this was, and the soundtrack was great too.

Though far from great I enjoyed this little show.Shows shouldn't have to have huge numbers when they run in the summer.

FreeForm is the new name of ABC Family that hosts shows like Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters, Baby Daddy, etc...it's not a new network, just ABC rebranded their "family" station to appeal to the entire population. It sucks this show got cancelled, I really enjoyed it...and a lot people I know watched this show as well...bummer

I actually enjoyed this.Although I expected the cancellation because I don't see how they could have brought it back seeing how it ended. That is unless they would have came back with a different story. It was a good summer show I got to enjoy for a while at least.
