The medical drama gets a small top up.
November 14, 2016
CBS has topped up Season 2 of Code Black, ordering three additional episodes of the medical drama. The sophomore series has been perennially on-the-bubble since its premiere in 2015, but has continued to survive despite lackluster ratings.
Today's top up of three extra episodes gives Code Black a total of 16 for Season 2, which is two short of its freshman total. As in Season 1, new episodes air Wednesday nights at 10:00pm.

As long as this show continues to air 16 episodes, I'll continue to be a viewer. My new policy for watching TV series is: if a series airs less than 14 episodes, I won't watch it. Airing less than 14 episodes makes the time interval between seasons simply too long, and, also, I really dislike binging TV shows. After about the 5th episode in a row, they're really boring. So, Code Black, keep the 16 episodes for season 3, and you can count me in. Drop below 14 episodes and I'm on to some other series.

This is my favorite program. It is so busy you really get a sense of being in the Emergency Room. I am devastated by the loss of Jessie, Dr. Guthrie, and Malia. I am afraid you are eliminating the "senior" cast members that really give stability to the program. Please don't ruin a really great show.

There's just way too many actors in this show. I mean, its one of my fav shows but a couple episodes back there were so many roles being created it was like watching people in a subway car at rush hour. Each character only got 30-45 seconds worth of lines when it finally was their scene. Come on CB Producers, thats Boring!! Cut down the payroll & let the actors flesh out their characters.....

I really like this show, more than I am liking Greys at the moment! and I think it could pick up and be the new ER/Greys if given a chance because I personally think Greys is on its last legs right now.

I love this show and I was also saddened by Charlotte's death. Also, some of the characters are being under utilized. Come on CBS...pick up the speed.

I started watching this season and was shocked and saddened at the direction they took with Charlotte. I was intrigued at the idea of a well known person going in a very different line of business and doing it well. Bummed.

This is one of my favorite medical shows, however what they did with my new favorite character Charlotte, has left me glass half empty more than glass half full.
Perhaps the actress had other obligations, she is starring in another show, but hell cant they figure that out before adding a character like Charlotte??? Perhaps maybe recasting the character and reshooting some scenes. Was there no contract or did they bring jn a character that i believe quite a few people really liked.
So either the writers let the actress know ahead of time for her to be in other shows or no contract and a pilot she is in was picked up.
This was just ridiculous situation. Mike should have been the one who met their demise. Just killed me enough to still watch but not right away like before.
