The Marvel drama will return for Season 2.
December 4, 2016
Netflix announced today that Luke Cage has been renewed for a second season. The drama, which is the third and most-recent Marvel series to hit the streaming service, premiered its 13-episode first season in September of this year.
Luke Cage follows the titular crime-fighting superhero who uses his superhuman strength to clean up the streets of Harlem. The character first appeared in Marvel's Jessica Jones, which has also been renewed for a second season due in 2018.
No time frame has been announced for the return of Luke Cage, so it could be some time until Season 2 is released.

After the first two shows, I binged watch the series on kodi. Now I want it to get at least two more seasons. I really enjoy the complexity of Luke. Now all they have to do is bring DD, Punisher in a crossover. Even though that will be kind of hard considering there is no actual punisher series.

I found Jessica Jones terribly slow and uninspiring... but yeah Daredevil Season 2 was dreadful. Didn't make it through the whole season, was tired of it by ep 8. :) And yup.. haven't watched Luke Cage yet... so can't really comment on it.

@Aethn : funny, I'm thinking exactly the opposite! Jessica Jones is the best Marvel/Netflix show so far, and the season 2 of Daredevil was by far the worst (mostly because of the second half).
I haven't watched Luke Cage yet.

Yeah and they are concluding Longmire as well after it's next season. But I'm curious if there's a Netflix show that has NOT gotten a second season? I know there are a couple that just wrapped on the first (Characters, Haters Back Off, etc). But thus far, I've not seen Netflix cut the chord after a season 1 :) I was just curious as to how bad something has to be for Netflix to NOT pay for a second season of it :)

Pope - I don't know if they've cancelled anything but they have ended things. Bloodline comes to mind.

Just curious... has Netflix cancelled ANYTHING they've created yet??

By Far the best of the series so far, second only to The Punisher. So far Jessica Jones has been the only black eye on NetFlix's for these shows

Can't wait for the fist of fury series and the eventual The Defenders crossover with Daredevil, Jessica jones, Luke Cage, fist of fury, and ( if we're lucky ) punisher. Done great so far, keep it up!
