It was announced this afternoon that TV Land has cancelled Impastor after two seasons. The comedy ended its sophomore run just last week, which over its 10 episodes averaged 360,000 viewers in Live+Same Day ratings.
Impastor followed the life of gambling addict Buddy Dobbs, a low-life slacker who ends up posing as a small town's gay pastor in order to hide from a loan shark chasing him down. The series aired a total of 20 episodes over its two seasons.

it's basically a curse for any show to get picked up by TVLand because almost every show on the channel in the last 5 years has been cancelled after 2 seasons. it's almost automatic.

I just saw the "Live Ratings" comment. Is that referring to Neilsen using live plus DVR? I greatly wish they would work out a way to use binge watching for more than just statistics since so many of us let episodes build up until we know the fate of the show!

I'm shocked. I thought this was a great show. I don't know how long it could have lasted, but I was looking forward to finding out. This is the first time I can remember they have aired 2 shows back to back that I really liked. Good comedies are getting harder and harder to find.

This is bullshit!
Live ratings are such an outdated and stupid way to judge if a show is doing good or not.
I loved this show and hate seeing that it was canceled.
Just another great show ended by the idiots that don't know how to run a tv network.

That's disappointing. I quite liked this show. It was interestingly unique. And considering everything that went down in the finale, I was really curious to see what was going to happen next.

Too bad. This was a decent divergence from TV Land's typical "chick" programming. More middle-of-the-road overall. Guess that may have sealed it's fate. Undoubtedly making more room for over-the-top female demographic shows such as "Younger".
