No Season 4 for the comedy sequel.
January 4, 2017
It's official - Girl Meets World will be ending its run after three seasons. The cancellation was announced this evening on the show writers' Twitter account, ending days of speculation after cast member Rider Strong alluded to the show ending over the weekend.
"It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, and I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over", the writers wrote in the first of a series of tweets. "I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty."
Girl Meets World premiered in 2014 as a sequel to the popular 90's sitcom Boy Meets World, which ended its run 16 years ago. The half-hour comedy followed Corey and Topanga's daughter Riley and her best friend Maya, who try their best to navigate all the twists and turns that come along with growing up into their teenage years.
Three episodes are scheduled to air in January before Girl Meets World signs off for good. Look for the series finale, aptly titled Girl Meets Goodbye, on January 20.

Want to try and save Girl Meets World? Make some noise on Disney's Twitter handle @disney. Write the company. Never can hurt

GMW was a wonderful show anytime they have a good show they cancel and blame it on ratings so that if a show goes over an x number Disney doesn't have to worry about the show going into sydication and having to pay all the actors a lot more money. Funny thing is the only good shows the have ever had they are now repeating because as in GLC and JESSIE on prime time. We will greatly miss Girl Meets World and hope a better network picks it up.

I am 58 years old and I love this show. I watch it without my granddaughter. I would also hope another channel will pick it up. It is one of the few family wholesome shows still on TV. SOMEONE PLEASE PICK THIS SHOW UP.

What are the chances that Freeform or another network will pick up this series? It definitely hasn't reached its full potential with Disney.

Shame on you Disney. This was one of my favorite shows and my daughters absolute favorite. We were able to sit down as a family and watch it. Even my 2 sons loved the show. This show gave life lessons that should not be removed from your channel.
