No Season 2 for the Canadian drama.

It is being reported that Aftermath has been cancelled after its first season. The Canadian-produced sci-fi drama ran for 13 episodes late last year but failed to find a sizeable audience on either side of the border.
Star James Tupper was first to break the news, posting to his Twitter account that the series will not be returning for Season 2. Tupper and co-star Anne Heche played a couple battling for the survival of their family when civilization as they know it comes to an apocalyptic end.

I personally like the show and sad to know it's canceled. Ugh, someone should pick this series up.

No way why wold you guys cancel such an awesome show I know for a fact Afrermath had better ratings the some of those other shows out there and if you guys kept it going I bet the rating would get even better over time.

I keep checking to see if anyone picked up the series. What a shame to leave us hanging like that. The series was very entertaining.

Just finished watching the 13 episode on Couch Tuner where Karen was sucked up into the worm hole! I immediately did a search for when the 2nd season would be airing only to find out that it's been cancelled. Ugh!...I'm so dissappointed :'( This really sucks! I really hope you reconsider your decision and so a second season to at least bring closure to the story line. PLEASE give us the story an ending that will be a 'happy one' and not one that leaves everyone hanging in mid air.... *sigh* :( .... 'hoping and praying' in Scottsdale, AZ Geo

This show should not be cancelled. It was inventive and followed many First Nations legends. I will be terribly disappointed if it is not continued. Really can they leave us hanging:(

I enjoyed this show because I enjoy B Horror movies. This series had ALL THE THINGS you could ask for...distopia, demons, shape shifters, young love, multi dimensions, and time travel. I really wouldn't have been surprised to see sharknados.

My family actually really liked this show and hate to see it like many others that we enjoyed end too soon. It really seems like the only things that last are reality shows, and I have no idea why. There is only one reality show that we enjoy is Big Brother, the rest really suck. So why not give some shows like this a chance to play out.

It seems like any show that makes you think gets cancelled. People seem to like the formulaic shows that are predictable and don't require any wonder. Cop shows, layer shows and the like. I did enjoy this show and now I won't know what happens next. It is the same if they had cancelled Lost after the first season.
