No Season 4 for the anthology drama.

It is being reported that ABC has cancelled American Crime after its recently-concluded third season. The John Ridley-created anthology drama was never a ratings winner for the network, though it drew plenty of critical acclaim during the course of its run.
Each season of American Crime focused on a completely new crime with all new characters, though the series used the same core cast in different roles each season. The series was recognized with various accolades over the years, with star Regina King in particular taking home two Emmy awards for best supporting actress.

Well, that just proves that television executives do not believe that there should be anything on the air that is remotely thoughtful or intelligent. Why bother even having screenwriters? Just play YouTube and reality shows all the time. Continue the dumbing down of America.

No, no, no, no! This was the absolute smartest, best acted, best written and best directed shows on network television. What a shame.
