The new comedy scores a second season.

Word is out this evening that ABC has renewed American Housewife for a second season. The good news was somewhat expected, as the freshman series is the network's top-rated new comedy of the season.
American Housewife stars Katy Mixon as an average wife and mother who is bringing up her family in the upper-class town of Westport, Connecticut. Look for Season 2 this fall.

Yay, very happy about this one! I really identify with Katie. I'm not married or a mom or anything, but I feel the same way about how people/parents today are getting beyond ridiculous. I'd like to think I'm not as aggressive about things as she is but I'm frustrated dealing with this crazy world we find ourselves in too. Some people are truly insane and it's nice to see them called out on it from time to time.

Love the show, I'm a housewife and this show seems somewhat realistic. Average size woman is size 12, has normal issues, and doesn't love a bathing suit. Glad to see it renewed

I'm not a mother or a housewife but I feel if I were, I would totally be Katy. Her inner dialogue is totally what I would think. So happy this got renewed!

Really surprised to see this got a second season after all the cancellations ABC is making...I've only heard and seen bad things about this series...
