Netflix axes its second original in as many weeks.
June 1, 2017
Netflix announced today that Sense8 has been cancelled after its second season. The move comes just one week after the streaming service axed Baz Luhrman's The Get Down after its freshman run, seeing both shows join a relatively short list of cancelled Netflix originals.
Created by The Wachowskis, Sense8 was a sci-fi drama that followed eight people from different cities around the world who became linked mentally and emotionally by an advanced evolutionary technology. Known as Sensates, they were recruited and brought together by a mysterious man named Jonas, but were also pursued by adversarial agents.

@Yup: You just might be on to something there my friend, I want to add to humanity myself, how about you?

.. unfortunately.. too many are just born stupid...... Doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, fat, thin... it's stupidity and hubris that will inevitably kill us all.

@Plop: No, I really was NOT making fun of you, but it's interesting that you took note. :D Look, I am just asking why must we put down our fellow human beings? I will admit you do bring some humor to the table, thanks for that.

@Plop Plop Fizz Fizz. I wouldn't make fun of someone gay or slightly overweight or a combinatoin of the two. I'm talking obese. Like Haystacks Calhoon style. Like the ones who clean out the all you can eat buffet. The ones who check BOTH meal options on the wedding invitation. Those ones. Its ironic you call for us to make fun of nobody but your name is clearly designed to make fun of me. Don't worry though, The Plopster can take it. :)

Well bub, I would argue that the rare folks who chose to be gay were teetering on that end of the bi-pendulum already, and and figured they had to choose one way or another (for whatever reason). Probably a 50/50 or 60/40 split in the cases where someone bi decides they have to choose. I doubt anyone straight just decides to be gay or vice versa. The Plopster didn't decide to be straight. As a young Plopster, I saw a poster of Samantha Fox and puberty lunged me into a life of loving woman. But it wasn't a choice. I can only speak for myself though. As far as feet, I can vouch that I am a hetero not into that, but I am sure there are plenty gay and straight who are. Most obese choose to be. Maybe there is a tiny percentage who can't help it but even the majority of the ones programmed for it can still overcome with healthy eating and good cardio. I am not the most fit person but when I reach an unacceptable level (I call it pre-obese) I always buckle down and lose it.

Well.. Plop... none of that is true :) SOME gay people choose to be gay... SOME are indeed born that way.... and SOME obese people choose to be obese... while SOME are genetically programmed to be that way (born that way). :) The notion that everyone in the LGBT community was "born that way" is a horrendous lie. There are many that just like the social constructs and aren't adverse to the sexual expectations. I'm NOT saying many aren't born that way.. they are... but it's not an all-or-nothing thing. Just like not ALL heterosexuals are really into feet... sure some are.. but many just put up with feet stuff to please their partner (social constructs). ... :)

@Plop: But what if you happen to be a bit overweight AND gay, Plop? How about let's not pick on anyone and just try living together in peace?

The Plopster is enjoying this debate. Hopefully no new news comes out for a while and this article stays at the top so the arguing can continue! Here's some fuel for the fire. Don't pick on gay people. They didn't choose to be gay, were born that way. Pick on the obese. They are a more entertaining target and became obese by choice. Hubba Bubba. Hubba Bubba. Chubba Chubba Chubba Chubba.

@Fuhrer: People complaining about bigotry isn't why a series remains or goes. You're sadly misinformed.

@amadojoe: Is being a 'conservatard' really any better? Why do you need other posters to validate how you feel about a show? What humans do you know that want ANY type of crap shoved in their faces, including YOUR point of view? Are you too dumb to understand that MOST shows that are greenlit fail? You may have stopped watching for your own reasons, and that's fine, but I would think as a conservatard you'd want MORE people employed, not fewer, right?
