Netflix axes its second original in as many weeks.
June 1, 2017
Netflix announced today that Sense8 has been cancelled after its second season. The move comes just one week after the streaming service axed Baz Luhrman's The Get Down after its freshman run, seeing both shows join a relatively short list of cancelled Netflix originals.
Created by The Wachowskis, Sense8 was a sci-fi drama that followed eight people from different cities around the world who became linked mentally and emotionally by an advanced evolutionary technology. Known as Sensates, they were recruited and brought together by a mysterious man named Jonas, but were also pursued by adversarial agents.

LOL at the people who think the reason a series is canceled because I make a post laughing at people who bring up the word bigotry.I'm a moron.

@Bub: I was referencing another post to someone using the term "SJW", and when that term is used, it's mainly by SWM who CLAIM to be Christian.I'm not bigoted towards someone watching what pleases them. Everyone isn't required to have my same mindset just because I speak out against people who HAVE a different mindset. "Woke" is a frame of mind of awareness especially in the climate where people use SJW to put down programs just for depicting gay sex.

@Amandajoe: Actually, that's a load of garbage. You use terms like "libtard" only because you're n the opposite side of the spectrum as a closed-minded bigot. Did you ever stop to think that NO ONE likes things shoved in their face? The cast of the show will go on to other projects. If you don't want to watch what you object to then don't. All that "get over it" crap is you having a lack of guts to criticize something when it's successful; you only talk garbage about something AFTER it's cancelled. Stick to Blue Bloods, Jag, and shows like that.

LOL at the people complaining about bigotry in the comments. All the more reason this moronic agenda-driven series got cancelled.

I was not aware of their personal lives. Thank God that gene pool won't be passed on. Please, Hollywood-types, just provide entertainment and leave the agenda out of it.

... see there's the bigotry.. you assume "Christian" no one has mentioned religion anywhere but you. So you're hypocritically doing to others EXACTLy what I've posted. Seems I do know what "woke" means.. you may not. You appear to be the bigot here, Megan.. thinking everyone needs to conform to YOUR mindset.

All Gary has to do is simply NOT WATCH the program if he/she isn't interested. Don't co-opt the term "woke" if you don't know what it really means. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so that means it's okay to voice an opinion from either side. Gary should stick to SWM "Christian" programming if he cannot view television through the prism of the real world. Gay people have sex just like anyone else.

look.. I HONESTLY do not care what ANYONE does with their genitals unless it directly involves me (or children). No one has the right to tell any other adult what is "right" or "wrong" --- but the LGBT community telling people they are "wrong" because they find LGBT content disgusting is nothing short of hypocritical... and does more to fuel divisiveness than anything any television show could ever do to "heal" that divisiveness. That was my point. I know I can just not watch.. fine.. but there are those that see not watching as "intolerance" in itself.. and that's where the bigotry comes into play. If someone didn't like Sense8 because it had too much LGBT content.. flogging them for that opinion is no different that others flogging you for being gay... or lesbian.. or trans.. or whatever. And I would argue the LGBT community has done a great deal to try and convey their sexual preferences as "rights" just like an ethnic group. I don't necessarily agree with that mindset, but clearly that has been the agenda.

@Leasuance realistically, and I've watched many shows with sex scenes and don't have a problem with it, but when they just throw in sex scenes that don't advance the story or have any purpose than it's a waste of time and it is forced.

@tirebiter It is exercising a right. It's a right to love whomever you choose. That is a right that's shared by everyone. I didn't catch S2 but now I don't have to. No point.
