The cooking competition returns with a new name.
September 21, 2017
ABC announced today that The Great American Baking Show will be premiering this December with an all-new third season. If the name doesn't sound completely familiar, it is because in its first two seasons the show went by The Great Holiday Baking Show.
Based on the U.K. sensation The Great British Bake Off, this culinary competition invites some of the nation's best amateur bakers to face off in a series of holiday-themed challenges with hopes of being crowned "America's Best Amateur Baker".
Hosting the show this time around will be New York Times best-selling cookbook author Ayesha Curry, along with former NFL star Anthony “Spice” Adams.

I like Ayesha Curry, watched her Food Network show. As a host I think she will do well. Judges we shall see.

For what its worth, Mary also left the The Great British Bake Off. I do miss her there.

Also hope the comment about hosts doesn't reflect judges. I look fwd to Mary too. I'm also wondering if the name change also effects the # of episodes. I'm just glad it will be back.

Mary is a judge, not a host. Did not see that she would not be back.

No Mary, no show. Know Mary, Know Show. This is going to be a wrong and just remind true fans how the show is dead. It might be good, but will own the uncanny valley and put a lot of people off.
