The Roku Channel has picked up The Great American Baking Show for a sixth season. The streaming service will be the new exclusive home for the competition series, which aired its first five seasons on ABC between 2015 and 2020.

On the air since 2015, the show has had somewhat of an interesting run. It started out under the name 'The Great Holiday Baking Show' before switching over to The Great American Baking Show for Season 2. Then in Season 3, judge Johnny Iuzzini was accused of multiple instances of sexual harassment, resulting in the network ending all its associations with him and pulling the show from the air after just one episode. The season would not air, though a winner was eventually announced. The show would not be cancelled, though, and returned for Seasons 4 and 5 as a 'Holiday Editions' in 2018 and 2019.

For Season 6, Ellie Kemper and Zach Cherry will be sharing the hosting duties. Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood from the British version of the show are also on board. Look for a premiere sometime in 2023.
