Amazon has announced an early Season 2 renewal for its upcoming thriller Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. The good news comes more than four months ahead of its scheduled August 31 premiere.
While the streaming service will often release a single pilot episode for a potential new series, Jack Ryan received a straight-to-series order in late 2015 for a 10-episode run. The only footage of the show seen so far is what was revealed in a Super Bowl commercial released earlier this year.
Amazon has cited strong anticipation from its customers as a driving force behind the decision to order a second season so early. After airing the Super Bowl ad, which has also been viewed nearly 14 million times on YouTube, Amazon saw a 400% increase in Prime members adding it to their watch list.

Another show I'm really happy about being renewed. This show and Condor are my 2 favorite new shows and both are renewed. Hopefully the quality stays high.

I'm really looking forward to this show. Krasinski is an excellent actor, and I think playing Jack Ryan is a perfect fit for him.
