The political thriller scores another early pickup.
October 14, 2021
Amazon announced today that Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan has been picked up for Season 4. The renewal is an early one, as the action thriller has yet to set a premiere date for its long-awaited third season. It has been two years since its sophomore run.
Based on Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan character that has been the subject of many novels, the series debuted in 2018 and has garnered generally positive feedback thus far.
The show follows the titular CIA analyst, whose life changes when he comes across a suspicious series of bank transfers that lead him on a search for answers that pulls him from the safety of his desk job. What follows is a deadly game of cat and mouse that takes him throughout Europe and the Middle East while a rising terrorist figurehead is planning a massive attack against the America and its allies.

Good show , the communist venezualian menace was a good story..sadly the real country is still under that disastrous evil.

I am a fan for now, but if they dont bring back Cathy (who has always been an important part of the books) i will drop this show like a hot skillet. Im missing Clark too, but im sure theyll bring him in soon. It bothers me how they just wrote her off for Season 2...

I'm glad I'm not the only with a frowning, puzzled face. I went scrambling to see if I'd somehow missed Season 3! A great relief I hadn't missed it.

Bit weird giving season 4 the go before releasing season 3...
Season 2 came on 31st October 2019. I hope the wait is over now, can hardly remember the plot.

I generally like this series. Although there aren't many episodes in each season, it keeps me from getting too bored and leaves me wanting more. I'll try to "binge-watch" the entire season if the next season allows it. Every so often, I'll check Amazon Prime to see what's new and there hasn't been much being put out, probably due to Covid. I suppose I'll just need to stay patient and hope the wait isn't too long (for S3).
