NBC announced this evening that Good Girls has been renewed for Season 2. The good news comes one week after the comedic drama ended its 10-episode freshman run on a cliffhanger that, as fans will be pleased to hear, is now sure to see a resolution.
The hour-long series premiered in February as a mid-season entry, airing on Monday nights after The Voice. The show performed reasonably well in its time slot, often besting its competition in the 10:00pm time slot.
Good Girls follows three suburban mothers who are fed up with barely making ends meet. Wanting to change their fortunes, they rob a local grocery store together. But when they get ID'd and the stolen loot ends up being more than they expected, the three friends soon realize that their perfect getaway may not work out after all.
Look for Season 2 of Good Girls in the 2018-2019 season, likely as a mid-season entry once again.

I wasn't sure what to expect with GG, so I was surprised when it grew on me. The characters seem like unlikely friends with very different justifications for their actions. Every now and again the script even surprises me.
That said, I can't really imagine how this show can run long term. I'll let the writers/showrunners figure that out, and I will tune in for season 2 to see if they manage it. I'm happy to see NBC making a good choice for once.

Not bad.. retained interest throughout the season. Not a huge fan of Mae (whatshername).. but, well, not enough to tune out. It's basically the estrogen-based Breaking Bad without the meth.

I am currently on episode 4. I didn't want to catch up until I knew if it would be renewed or not. I'm glad that it is! Love this series.

I hate to invest my time in new shows these days and then they get cancelled. I however invested my time in this show and have recommended it to my friend and sister. Happy to see a renewal. The girls are fun to watch together. Christina Hendricks is beautiful and I love that she isn’t a twig.

So glad this show was renewed !! Nice to see a show with an all female lead - Rio as the bad guy is a charmer as well !!

I didn't really know what to expect with this show so I was happily surprised to find myself continually surprised and liking it more each week. Even so I didn't really expect a renewal, and I will certainly watch season 2.
