The crime dramedy will continue in 2021.

NBC announced today that Good Girls has been picked up for a fourth season. The good news comes two weeks after the dramedy wrapped its Season 3 run, which ended earlier than planned due to the coronavirus pandemic shutdown. Fans will surely be pleased, as the final episode indicated there was more story to tell.
The hour-long series premiered in early 2018, performing reasonably well in its mid-season time slot. Since then it has gone on to be a reliable spring entry for the network.
Good Girls follows three suburban mothers fed up with barely making ends meet. Wanting to change their fortunes, they rob a local grocery store together. But when they get ID'd and the stolen loot ends up being more than they expected, the three friends soon realize that they are in too deep and their lives may never be the same.
Look for Season 4 of Good Girls in the 2020-2021 season, likely as a mid-season entry once again.

I watch this show but I feel uncomfortable. The goal of the show is to not have them succeed in being criminals since they are supposed to be good girls. You cannot be good when you are dealing with hard core criminals. You also have to be willing to do pretty bad things that the good girls are not willing to do. I get it but it just feels wrong. Maybe that is the point.

3rd Season not only tired and stale but having every single idea fail along with the implication that one family knows their survival depends on dirty money and yet a ANOTHER shared secret to hide = loss of interest. (and regardless of the current climate the writers choice is of family is completely tasteless) So after an entire 3rd season of self pity, more tears, rejection, and reverse sexual harassment perhaps they should rename it BLUED GIRLS after placing it In a gift wrapped greeting card box and bury it beside OITNB after next season.

Recorded this season but have not watched it. When I good to start watching it I see other shows I have on the DVR that seem more interesting. Now that several of my favorite new shows got cancelled maybe I'll watch this season. Last season the writing got stale, poor with plot lines. That doesn't give the cast a good medium to show their talents.
I am on the fence with this show. It should be great with the wonderful cast but sadly it is not. Maybe they can get new writers to put this show back on course.

Although I watched the first 2 seasons and most of the third, I make the decision to stop watching it. While the cast and crew did a great job, the writing/story lost me. I know these 3 women are not criminal masterminds with tons of experience or anything but the writing made it seem as though they were complete idiots. Every time they would make a decision or move, it would blow up in their face which, although it may seem like it makes for a good story, it really just paints them as 3 women without any common sense. The predicaments they would get into are cliche and any intelligent person (as these 3 women are) would know better. I'm not saying the writers should portray them as seasoned underworld kingpins but with at least the same common sense as most of us have. It may be stupid to become a criminal but that doesn't mean they are all dumb.
