The comic-based drama will not be back.

It won't be a surprise to many that ABC has officially cancelled Marvel's Inhumans after one season. The news comes half-a-year after the action drama aired its last episode.
Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Inhumans premiered last fall with high expectations due to the successes of other Marvel-based fare in recent years. The series even screened its premiere episodes in Imax theaters. The buzz did not last long though, as the series was met with a negative reception from both viewers and critics.
Based on the Marvel Comics race of the same name, the series follows the adventures of the royal family as they escape to Hawaii after being splintered by a military coup. Led by Black Bolt, the King of the Inhumans, they must find a way to reunite with each other in order to save themselves and the world before their way of life is destroyed forever.

It was fairly interesting but in truth, nothing much happened storywise in the first season other than two factions butting heads.
And the main villain was a smarmy windbag.

I enjoyed the show, and am sad that they are not running a second season. Netflix needs to pick this up.

Not surprised. This show was terrible. I was so looking forward to it too but the execution was awful. I took it off my DVR after the 3rd episode.

I thought this was jsut a horrible melodrama and uninteresting. Watched 2 episodes and waited for the cancellation announcement.

I thought In humans was watchable if not the best show on the air. I watched it from beginning to end, and I'm glad I pushed on and gave it a chance. I enjoyed it for what it was - not for what the comic versions are.
I understand that if a person is devoted to any print version that turns into TV or movie, it is tough to deal with artistic changes from the print version. Rarely do book lovers also love the tv/movie version. Still, critizing based on that without given shows a chance seems unfair.

Good stuff gets cancelled but it is baffling how the bachelor, bachlorette, dancing with the stars and american idol—garbage like those shows keep getting renewed

No surprise (although I am ignorant of the ratings) because the “expert” super hero watchers trashed it like no other - whether they watched any of it or not. Groupie think. But I’m not in with the fantasy experts crowd because I really liked Inhumans and am disappointed. It was great fun.

No surprise, handled the show poorly but wasn't the worst thing ever. If only they could merge it into the MCU ala Marvels AOS if that gets renewed (here's hoping).
