The satirical comedy will return in 2019.
June 21, 2018
Netflix announced today that Dear White People has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes the month following another successful run that saw the critically-acclaimed comedy once again garner rave reviews.
Based on Justin Simien's acclaimed 2014 indie film of the same name, the series offers a satirized take on "post-racial" America, following a diverse group of students of color as they navigate a predominantly-white Ivy League college that tends to brush off racial tension.
Look for Season 3 of Dear White People in 2019.

If you are a wannabe elitist or have a fetish for imaginary victims this show is for you.

Alex. You don't have to kill to be racist. You can do good things and still be a racist.
Putting one race over a nother IS racist.
And as we've seen time and time again you just gotta be called racist to be racist.

yeah that damn NAACP, being so racist. That awful racist group that was included blacks and whites from its conception and their horribly racist attempts to pass anti-lynching legislation, fight segregation, and get black people the right to vote. Truly an evil, racist organization. The KKK’s lynchings and bombings don’t even compare.
Also, good show. Presents a lot of different perspectives from the most militant to the more moderate, and even dealing with interesting topics like prejudice within black and LGBT communities. The characters are very flawed and that’s what makes them interesting. Eager for season 3!

Kris, I would've never guessed by the title. [eye roll]
Racism is wrong, except when you get an exemption. i.e. NAACP.

Funny show. Interesting look at race relations and how complicated it is. Well-written and well-acted. Hopefully Barry Jenkins can direct another episode.
